| InSite Tip #1: Setting Auto-login |
|
Tired of typing in your username and password every time you log into
InSite? There's a simple way to set your browser to remember these
credentials and auto-fill them whenever you go to the InSite landing page.
This function is universal, meaning that once it is activated on a particular machine, your login information will be auto-filled for any website that requires credentials. You will be prompted by your browser to accept or decline the auto-login behavior for each site.
To activate the 'Remember Login' function in your browser: Safari: • Launch Safari (note: we recommend Safari’s version 3.x for InSite users). • Go to Safari/Preferences, click on the 'Autofill' tab. • Turn on the option for 'User names and Passwords'. • The next time you login into InSite, you'll see a pop-up window asking if you want Safari to remember this login info for you. Click 'Yes'. Firefox: • Launch Firefox 3.x. • Go to Firefox/Preferences, click on 'Security' tab. • In the 'Passwords' section, turn on the function 'Remember Passwords for Sites'. • The next time you login into InSite, you'll see a pop-up bar asking if you want Firefox to remember this login info for you. Click 'Remember'. |
