We are proud to announce that Lane Press has won a total of six awards for printing excellence from three prestigious 2008 print competitions: Gold Ink, Premier Print, and Sappi Printers of the Year.
We share the honor of these awards with the publishers of the selected
magazines. The superior quality design, photography, and composition in
these publications enable Lane Press to demonstrate our printing
capabilities to the fullest. Lane Press is proud to be recognized for
this combined effort to produce the highest-quality publications
possible.
Gold Ink Awards
Lane Press won two awards in the 21st annual Gold Ink Awards competition. Sponsored by North American Publishing Co and its Publishing Executive
magazine, the Gold Ink Awards recognize excellence in printing. Winning
pieces are selected based on print quality, technical difficulty, and
overall visual effect. This year’s Gold Ink Award winners were chosen
from nearly 1,500 entries.
Winners will be honored at the Annual Gold Ink Awards Banquet during
the Graph Expo 2008 in Chicago on October 27, 2008. Additionally, the October issue of Publishing Executive magazine will be largely devoted to honoring the award-winning publications and their printers.

Premier Print Awards
This year, Lane Press won three awards in the 2008 Premier Print Awards
competition, sponsored by Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts
Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF).
Now in its 59th year, this annual program attracts entries from
companies in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and the
Pacific Rim. A panel of judges scrutinizes thousands of entries and
selects winners at four award levels: Certificate of Merit, Award of
Recognition, Best of Division, and Best of Category. Over 4,200 entries
were submitted to PIA/GATF for this year’s competition.

Sappi Printers of the Year
The Sappi Printers of the Year competition
recognizes print excellence and innovation for work produced on Sappi
papers. Printers submit entries for any of the eight categories, which
include Catalogs and Magazines. All entries are judged on overall
impact of the piece, degree of difficulty in the printing techniques,
and technical excellence. A panel of four judges, selected from
recognized print institutions and trade professions, ensure the highest
possible standards and integrity.
