| Web Offset Association Honors Lane Press with Printing Awards |
|
In conjunction with customer publications Sculpture and CITY, Lane Press recently won two 1st-place awards in the annual Web Offset Association’s Print Competition. Now in its 24th year, the competition recognizes excellence in print craftsmanship. We share the honor of these awards with the publishers of the selected magazines. The premium quality materials, design, and composition of these magazines enable Lane Press to demonstrate our printing craftsmanship to the fullest. Lane Press received a 1st-place award for the November 2007 issue of Sculpture magazine, published by the International Sculpture Center. This award was granted in the category for materials “produced via heatset printing 4/color on uncoated paper (other than newsprint, bound or unbound).” The second 1st-place award was received for the October 2007 issue of CITY, published by CITY Magazine. This award was granted in the category for materials “produced via heatset printing 4/color on coated paper (bound or unbound).” Entries to this competition are judged by Society of National Association Publications (SNAP) committee members, who base their assessment on print registration; degree of difficulty; folding, binding, or other finishing (if applicable); and overall craftsmanship of product. We are proud to be recognized for this combined effort to produce the highest quality publications possible.
