As we head into the thick of the second quarter, the paper industry is all a-buzz with news of U.S. tariffs on coated freesheet imports from China, Korea, and Indonesia. I explain the tariffs and their ramifications on the industry in the articles that follow, but suffice to say, they are likely to have a significant impact on the U.S. market, leading to less imports, higher prices, and a tighter coated freesheet market.
